I’m reading in the Joseph Smith Manual about the signs of the second coming of Christ. Here they are:
- pestilence
- war and bloodshed, sword, great wars, rumors of wars
- moon will be turned into blood
- famine
- great destruction
- great distress
- judgements
- “whenever you see the [rain]bow withdrawn, it shall be a token that there shall be famine, pestilence, and great distress among the nations, and that the coming of the Messiah is not far distant.”
- Judah must return
- Jerusalem must be rebuilt
- temple must be rebuilt
- water come out from under the temple
- waters of the Dead Sea be healed [see Ezekiel 47: 1-9 for numbers 9-13]
- signs in the heavens
- signs on the earth
- sun turned into darkness
- earthquakes in divers places
- seas heaving beyond their bounds
- one grand sign of the Son of Man in heaven. But the world will say it is a planet or comet or something similar, but it will be “as the light of the morning cometh out of the east”
- all flesh subject to suffer (righteous and wicked)
