Our Elders Quorum lesson this last Sunday was about faith, hope and charity. The instructor had some great thoughts about these three attributes and related them to a scripture.<\/p>\n
Faith = What<\/p>\n
Hope = Why<\/p>\n
Charity = How<\/p>\n
See Ether 12: 4<\/a><\/p>\n Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with a<\/sup>surety<\/a> b<\/sup>hope<\/a> for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which c<\/sup>hope<\/a> cometh of d<\/sup>faith<\/a>, maketh an e<\/sup>anchor<\/a> to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in f<\/sup>good<\/a> works, being led to g<\/sup>glorify<\/a> God.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We see that faith is what we are hoping for, what we believe will happen if we do good works. Faith is an action, we put forth effort. (See Bible Dictionary: Faith<\/a>) Hope is why we believe, and charity is how we believe.
