How the people communicate with the computer.<\/p>\n<p>I get a lot of ideas and info from reading <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"Slashdot\" href=\"http:\/\/slashdot.org\">Slashdot<\/a>, and today&#8217;s episode of the history of the UI is no different.\u00c2\u00a0 The article references an article on the <a title=\"MacObserver.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.macobserver.com\/columns\/devilsadvocate\/2006\/20060815uis.shtml\">macobserver.com<\/a> by John Keit.\u00c2\u00a0 It briefly describes the state of the modern UI, and a brief history of the UI.\u00c2\u00a0 Of most interest to me was a link to, and the movie of, a presentation given by <a title=\"The Demo\" href=\"http:\/\/gmu.mossiso.com\/video\/DougEngelbartTheDemo.avi\">Doug Engelbart<\/a> (creator of the mouse and sooooo many other computer marvells including the basis on how we all use the computer today).\u00c2\u00a0 Amazing stuff!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think I&#8217;ll start gathering information about the history of computers and all things computer related, since I like the two things soo much.
